We like to have the Missionaries for our church over for dinner every once in a while. Last week they came for some homemade chili and corn bread. More importantly, one of the girls mentioned she didn't have a winter hat. While it is almost spring here in NY there have been a few REALLY cold days. So, I told her not to worry about it and she'd have one soon.
Thus came about the Little Miracle Hat. It takes about five hours from start to finish. I used the decrease from Elliphantom's Herringbone Mitten's, and knit on a multiple of 24 stitches. Basically you can follow the "top" of the mitten pattern, just take out the solid strip at the side and repeat the pattern five times.
To only thing missing is the pom pom. As soon as that is done, it will be perfect.
